Something I've discovered about myself, is that I'm a lover of the in-between. I prefer traveling distances in cars for that reason. When road tripping, which is something my family did often growing up, I realized I enjoyed the time in the car traveling more than I did the destination. There's something relaxing and freeing about that time spent in the in-between, it's as if the world had stopped and it was only me.

 

I experience this feeling throughout my process when I work. I tend to get lost in brainstorming and doodling because I thrive on those in-between moments. As satisfying as finalizing a project is, I reminisce on the time it took for me to get there when looking back at my work.
